ok... so since somebody added the scenario of a salvage title. Unless I want to get detailed information as to what accidents that car was in and knew I was never going to sell the car again, i'd never get a car with a salvage title on it.

Agreed that selling a car with a salvage title is very difficult. Takes just the right buyer.

Nope. General rule of thumb IMO has been a salvage title should begin with an offer of half its actual value. You can vary that based on how well you know the history of it and WHY it is salvaged. Lots of details, reciepts, and evidence to its history is really important as well.

Actually come to think of it, if the EVO is salvage I'd rather not deal with it.

I had some real huge headaches when I had a salvaged MR2.

Too many hidden problems, and nobody to buy it when you want to get rid of it.

If I was the OP I'd just save up and go with something new or at least clean title.
