Go with the Evo.
More potential there and I think you will like it a whole hell of a lot more.

Just remember. It will never sound as nice as a Subaru. =D
ditto. pick another year wrx

It would appear as though we just created a great thread link for norcalevos.net or evoempire.com I would however get the evo over the WRX any day. I am still currently in the process of getting my wife to let me get an eco but the answer is still no

haha wow, its pretty funny that this is a subie site but everyone is voting evo,
ok but heres the downfall...

what if the evos engine was changed and a 5spd tranny was put in it?
AND
THE REAL DOWNFALL: car was stolen stripped so they salvaged it
but the guy that has it has been working on evos for over 5 years now, rebuilding and putting them back together, he is legit and i have known him for over 10 years.
Car actually has no frame damage also, salvaged from THEFT.

I know its a salvage, but i just wouldnt mind a white evo 9 for 15k

Honestly if he was comparing and EVO IX versus an STI of some sort, then we could debate a bit more.

But c'mon, it's an EVO IX vs a WRX. It's a bit of a no brainer.

People think Subarus are ugly, some of them are right. lol

However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

If you think you will keep the car for a while, I'd get a theft salvage car. But it will be a massive headache to sell down the line. Plus you should lowball the guy.

Evo - hands down..

- Has a green turbo on it.. Might be a con depending on how it's been abused...

But between the two the EVO has a lot more potential.

I will vote for the 08. It is plenty fast, and way more comfortable than the evo and this is not just because I drive one. In the premium you get a nice radio climate control, heated seats, all sorts of things that make girls comfortable in car. Since I dont plan on taking my car to the track it is still fast enough to have plenty of fun on the freeway.

If you think that they are both ugly then simply wait and buy neither. Plus salvage titles are bad news. They are hard to insure, and very very hard to resell. Most banks wont give you loans on salvaged cars, and if you are ever in a pinch you probably wont even be able to trade it in. Even though the frame is in good shape salvaged usally equals bad news.

He told everyone it was salvaged long after they offered their opinions. I'd never buy a salvaged car, but that's just me. I'd go with buy neither as well.

One time I bought a bike that was supposed to be salvaged because of a track laydown and it turned out it had a clean title with a salvaged price tag. I doubt that luck will ever happen again though.
