I am planning on doing a rs to sti swap and im wondering after i get it swapped, how would i get it to be a legal swap? I heard some friends saying you first get it smog-ed and then taking it to the state ref to get it checked out and then you get your bar sticker....help would be greatly appreciated.

 

best thing to do is to find a local ref station and have a chat with them.
most of them are really cool and am willing to tell you what u'll need to get a bar'd sticker.

people tell me skyline college or near there have one in san bruno

 

Not sure where your located but solano community college in fairfield/suisun has a local ref station. I know this because I had to take my prelude there to get a db test on my exhaust. Hope this helps.
