Have an older PC you would like to get rid of? Do you have an older PC (prefer Dell, but doesn't have to be) that you are not using anymore? Just need the PC only, no accessories, no monitor, etc.
It's for my son, it's getting to the point where he needs his own PC. He just turned 3, but I don't like installing all his games on my PC. I'm not looking for anything fancy, maybe 1.5Ghz+ processor with 512MB of RAM or so. Good enough for web surfing and kid's PC games. Let me know what you have and your price...

i have a custom pc, its from 2002, a little dated but perfect for K-12 students.
Specs:

Asus motherboard
768mb of RAM (3x 256mb RAM)
Asus Geforce 2 GTS video card

Let me know if you are interested,

dang.. 1.5 gig for a 3 year old... baller... lol I had a 200 mhz until 5 years ago, to which I kinda upgraded to a 800 until college when I had to pay for all my computer componenets...
I have a 400mhz I'm sure that I could give away once I get back to Nor Cal, which would be in a month. Don't know how much longer that will last with how fast computers are upgrading and how much more demanding software is becoming.

It is a Dell, a couple years old. Honestly don't remember the processor speed or memory... I am sure I can find out. It was for my accountant in my old business. It's just sitting in my closet... This sounds like a great charity. Make me any offer (plus we will have to pack and ship from Medford, OR) and it's yours ~ hold on, I'll go get the model... Dimension 2400 with Windows XT (XP? Hell, I don't know I am a Mac guy!). Have the tower and keyboard.
PM me and I'll get it out to you Thursday or Friday (days off).

I did the same thing for my daughter. She had soooo many learning games that she loved to play that I never had any PC time anymore... I ended up getting her a 733 MHz P3 but it wasn't enough. I then upgraded it to 1.4 P4 and it was significantly better, but still not enough until I upgraded the video card to a 128 MB. Just my .02 on what specs you should look for...

Thanks for the replies, guys!
I ended up just getting one through eBay. Dell Optiplex P3 1Ghz was about $61 including shipping.
