Good exhaust welding place?

Hello,

So, I got this 3" MadDad WRX-fitment catback. I have a Forester with a Cobb catted DP, 2.5" donut flange at the end. I'm thinking of having the 2.5" flange cut off and replaced with a flat 3" flange. I also may need help with re-locating the hanger brackets on the muffler.

The exhaust shop I usually go to said that I'd want it TIG welded, since it's stainless steel, which they don't do. They could do it, but their weld will rust due to wires they use. Anyone know of a good shop familiar with this kind of work? San Francisco and Peninsula would be best, but I don't mind driving further.

Thanks much,

Stan

Marco muffler has done all my exhausts and my brothers exhausts and they have always done a fantastic job.

I use this for my aftermarket 3" dp to my stock sti catback. You would just basically install it opposite of me but it'd be a cheap alternative.

Yeah, I've thought of using the adapter, that way I can still install my STi catback for long trips in case the MadDad is too loud. I'm just getting greedy wanting to get rid of the 2.5" restriction.. it probably wouldn't matter that much with a VF43, would it?

Thanks for the tips.

Would be similar to my vf34, I don't notice the restriction much. I had been previously tuned for full 3" tbe but besides being MUCH quieter now with the sti cbe, I don't feel much of a difference in power. YMMV of course.
