dunno, never got the car dyno'ed before or after. my butt dyno says there was a gain at the top end, but not much more than that. i do have an automatic, so whatever negligible gains there would be, were taken away by the torque converter

hate to sound stupid or uninformed but i am so it works....
i have a 96 1.8 awd that i just got and i am tryin to get in to this subaru craze but still trying to learn. my question is will the headers off the 2.5 fit the 1.8 block? I am not really sure of these motors yet so i just dont know. i figured they were pretty close. also does anyone know of anykind of exhaust system that will fit the 1.8? any help would sure be appreciated!

 

The 2.5 headers fit Rau's 1.8 block. Any exhaust that will fit a 2.5 RS will fit a 1.8 liter. Any exhaust from a WRX will fit if you flip the flange.
