I tried listing on Craigslist with no luck. Figure I post it here to see if anyone wants this.

I have a Dell Poweredge 1U Rackmount server and I am trying to unload it.

It is a Dell Poweredge 1850 1U rackmount.

2x Xeon 3ghz
4 gb of ECC Memory
2x 73gb 10k rpm U320 hard drives
550w redundant power supply
2x gigabit ports

It boots up just fine. No OS on it. I haven't done anything to it other than booting it up. Looking for $150. Located in Davis.

Are they single core Xeons?

edit: Does it have a media drive for loading an OS?

I think he's asking about a CD drive to insert a disc to load an operating system.

well worst case, it looks like they have 2 USB ports, you can always go external for the install, or install from a USB drive.

Only other consideration.. Does it come with the original Dell install and maint. disc?

Without that it can be a fairly huge pain (read - impossible) to install an OS.

 

I believe they are single core, but do have Hyper Threading.

Media drive, yes. DVD-ROM and of course has USB.

 

I do have some pics. There isn't anything special looking about it. It looks like any other Dell Poweredge 1850 1U rackmount. I think it is a few years old. Configured in 2005, 2006 maybe? Not sure. I can tell you that I opened it up, and it is clean. No dust or anything. Pics are on my HD at home, but I can post some in a bit.
