GEEZUS, you do understand what standard repayment would be on a loan of that size.
Not to mention to a down payment of 20% would be 130k. Leaving nearly 520k to finance... with a monthly payment of $3,200, not to mention any HOA and taxes.
Just to qualify for that loan you would have to make 120k (with no other debts) a yr, gross.
Oh and don’t forget the 6% your wife gets for her services.
Why pay over 3k a month for the joy of homedebtorship when you can rent the same think for over half the price.
People really need to educate themselves on the issue of housing and the devaluing of the dollar..... http://housingpanic.blogspot.com/

so you've never gotten the "we're evicting you from this house because we feel like it" letter from the landlord and you've never had to load up a moving truck before even finding another affordable house in your area to rent huh? Some people actually like being able to say "this is my house"
Better then the bank sending over an officer to evict you for forcloseure.
And no, I have not, dont sign a contract that will put you in that position. I get a minimum of 60 days on any place I move into, this jumps to 90 if im there for a year.
If you have good credit it is very easy to find someone who will rent to you.
Please read the blog, you will be much more informed for it.
