Keeping the Subaru, I couldn't find the loan I was looking for.

the M3 is a fun car but only thing to look out for is maintenance cost that adds up , 02-03 has less chance of vanos issues but 04-up has led tails from the factory and auto headlights function. if you get a coupe be sure to check the subframe for cracks as it's a huge issue. besides that just make sure there's no misfires or anything crazy (pm me if you want a easy way to check if it's misfiring as it won't show up on the dash lights most of the time) let me know if you have any other questions.

I drove my uncles E46 M3 over the weekend and it was fantastic. It felt really solid and it moves even though it doesn't feel like it. Overall a very good car and I would choose one over my WRX in a heartbeat.
