2002 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon with a 5-speed manual transmission. This car has approximately 49,000 miles.
This car has been babied since purchase. I have changed the oil every 3000 miles and I added a fumoto valve so the oil changes will be really easy if you’re so inclined. I’ve also added a 20mm sedan rear sway bar so this car corners really nice.
Additionally, I had Omori turbo boost, oil pressure and oil temperature gauges installed in the center pod by Subaru of Santa Cruz. These look really nice, especially at night.
Factory options included are:
1) Factory short throw shifter
2) rear differential protector
3) all-weather floor mats including rubber cargo mat for trunk
4) armrest extension
5) alarm
The clutch was replaced at 15,000 miles by Subaru Santa Cruz because of the dreaded clutch shudder. This was fixed under warranty pursuant to a technical service bulletin. Carlsen Subaru replaced the left front wheel bearing at about 42,000 miles.
Original tires were replaced at about 31k with Yokohama AVID V4S. It is unbelievable how much better these tires are than the stock RE92’s. Current tires still have plenty of tread. Back windows have 35% tint. There were 2 recall notices on the car: one for the ABS module and the other for a bolt on the seat railing (if I remember correctly). Carlsen Subaru corrected both.
This car has approximately 3 months or 11,000 miles left on the powertrain warranty. The car has been adult driven and has never been raced or abused. There are no engine mods. Car has never been in an accident. This was actually my wife’s car. Most of the miles have been freeway.
