It is still available. It has a minor transmission issue currently, most likely synchros, so I am talking to a shop to get it replaced. It is driveable as is actually, but I'd rather get it done (the price will go up however). Once that is done, I will update this post and it will also go up on CL. That should happen in the next week. Unfortunately, I believe I will have to smog it again too.

Downsizing from 5 of them in the family to currently 4 and soon just 3 when this one sells. That probably won't last for long though. I intend to pick up an older wagon beater too.

If you're looking for an older Forester I plan on getting rid of my 99 5 spd soon if you're interested. It's definitely a beater, but it gets me around everywhere I need to go.

I've always wanted a gf. Hard to find in good condition for a reasonable price tho. I'll be keeping an eye on this foz. Hopefully it gets posted up again soon!
So tempting. Borrowing my parent's '10 forester while they're on vacation. My girlfriend loves it but it feels so tall and unstable in corners. With suspension mods, those '04 XTs are really good looking though. Way more attractive than my parent's generation.

Yup. SG was the best looking generation IMO. Most important: still had manual trans!
**I have an interested party looking at it on Friday.

Transmission came in early, but there were some issues. Needed axles since it is a JDM trans and one of the front wheel bearings had seized too
Trans is installed though and I will be picking it up Monday.

Bummer man. I feel your pain. Just got a bunch of white smoke out the tailpipe of my wrx. It's always one thing after another. How much are you looking to get after all repairs are said and done?

I will be looking for $11K on CL, and will work out something better for an fellow iClubbers. Even then, I am losing money on that transmission.

I just picked it up from Mann Engineering after getting the trans replaced. JDM trans w/axles. New lower 1-2-3 gears feels better as they are longer and better spaced than the USDM. Smooth as butter now. In light of that, price goes up. It will be going up on CL this week.
