3rd break light sensor [rear deck?]
This thread is hella confusing me.
to get the light on the wing to work all you need to do is get the cord that is normally found clipped on the right trunk bar from a winged wrx or sti.
the cord is only like 20 dollars at the dealership. stevens creek subaru can help you out with i-club discount also.

yeah I've done the swap before so i know exactly what needs to be done when swapping trunks with lights and decklids. you are missing the wire . go to the dealership its so cheap you'd be wasting time searching for such a cheap wire.

My bad, I didn't realize there was a middle wire, as mine have always come with that. Here I thought the OP was just horrible at following directions

i tried PMing Hengman (the guy i swapped with) to see if he had it, but he never replied.
i jus dont want another fix it ticket for lights not working.
they probably wont have the cord instock. you would have to special order it. you can call before you stop by so they can order it. If they dont know what wire you are talking about then you can give stevens creek a call. they'll know exactly what cord you are talking about.

oddly though, capitol subaru had no idea. the guy kept repeating that i had to buy the whole harness consol which was 380$ or that i just have someone who knows what they're doing to hot wire it
