Yeah while I'm working 4 hours away.

Earliest I could get out there is Sat. I need the brakes and the steering wheel bad. And I can actually fix that roll cage to pass spec.

Wish I could help you guys, but I've literally shared all info I have available to me. I hope the owner gets back to all of you, but I am not in that loop. As far as I know, it does have 4/2 pots on it, but you guys should really email the owner.

I did. He got back to me. Answered one question. I asked a confirmation if it was a WRX shell or STI shell and then all contact stopped. I'm guessing it's because he confirmed with the dude above that it's sold?

I was planning on looking at it this weekend and probably purchasing it.

of course it's WRX, but who cares, it's not like it comes with STI engine or tranny.

Someone who thinks they're getting STi knuckles, gauge cluster, ecu, HIDs, steering rack... etc... etc.

I'd be pissed if I went all the way up there and saw it wasn't what was being advertised. Look at how many posts it took for someone to call it an elephant.

I still think it's a great deal and would have bought it for the brakes and rims alone, then part out the rest. If the cage was salvageable I might of even swapped all my parts onto it and sold my car as a rolling chassis.

My car is being turned into a race car. This would have been perfect for me. Damn you West Coast.

Umm. Sell wheels and wing and you just got a free shell.

That's exactly why I asked. Either way it's a good deal but STI/WRX... huge difference. Even if the drive train is gone. For me to drive 3-4 hours out there in a suburban to look at it and 3-4 hours back PLUS rent a trailer, etc. That's a lot of money to throw away if it's not what's advertised. I asked the questions and the dude vanished. Irritates the crap out of me. I was VERY serious about picking this up. Oh well.

Even if the roll cage had to be completely scrapped because it isn't worth the time and money to repair it? None of the welds look decent to me.

That was my main concerned. If I could repair it it'd be worth the trouble if it's an STI. As a WRX and NOT repairable it comes to the value of scrap metal and what I can sell off it as I'd only use the brakes and steering wheel. LOL. So it's a LOAD of time and effort not to mention the trailer rental and about $120 in gas... so the value drops a lot. I have a family and a lot of work to do. I charge $40-100 for my time so you start considering that and well... a little information would have gone a long way in me saying yes... I'll be there at 10am on Sat. LOL.

I hope whoever pulled the trigger on it is stoked. It's a great deal any way you look at it. There's an easy $2000 on that car as it sits. More if you have time.
