I have pictures that contradict this statement.

 

I'm actually looking for a 6speed myself, but prefer one with lower miles and shawarma instead of a gyro.

 

If you rev match all your downshifts, is the worn 5th-4th synchro noticeable?

Also would you be interested in a trade + cash for an 07 WRX tranny with low miles?

 

it is actually quite noticeable, It was a bigger problem in the 04s, they had a revised synchro set for the 05s and then again in 06. I rebuilt mine with the 06 synchros and decided to run the JDM 5-6 gears while I was in there, never had any problems since.


Waitaminute, to the OP, when you said "Gyros" were you actually referring to "synchros"?

i was not refering to the "synchros". there are 2 units that mount under the center console that have Gyro's (gyroscope sensors) in them that go with the DCCD.


acc, it is a lot better if you rev match. but still need to disclose that.
