Hi, I recently purchased a 2001 WRX. I am hearing some kind of grinding noise when I am in gear. Like metal on metal, not really loud but you know its there and doesn't sound healthy and is constant when accelerating however stops when my foots off the accelerator. I can't really point out where the noise is coming from, but its sounds like its somewhere under the hood. I had a mechanic listen to it today however he said it sounds fine. My boyfriend just drove it and gave it a bit and now the engine light has now turned on. Anyone have this issue and know what needs to be fixed? Haven't serviced it yet so this may be the issue, has 160ks. Thanks in advance for your help.
