squeaky seat belt

Arrow squeaky seat belt

Anybody have a squeaky *** seat belt??? Who has the soultion? Do I really gotta open up the compartment and wd40 it up??

I had it also. You have to open it up, and sand down the piece of plastic thats rubbing against the seat belt. There should be a write up on scoobymods or nasioc.

yes i do. Both sides. I just lived with it, but now im putting in sparco 4-point seat belts

Check where the belt actually comes out of the pillar then thru the loopy jigger (that's the technical term...), see if there is any crap/dirt/etc stuck too it.
I cleaned that and it made the belt slide easier and stop a once in a while squeak I had.

I use the same solution I have for all weird noises.... turn the radio up or downshift.

It's a Subaru, it's going to make weird noises.

Pull off the B-pillar, dremel or sand down the ridges inside. Presto, squeak be gone.
