So I just got a 2005 WRX. I noticed the exhaust was pretty quiet for an Apexi N1. I think it may just be the axle back. Can anyone confirm that the downpipe to axle back is in fact OEM? Thanks!

Definitely stock downpipe

 

I know the downpipe is stock but what about the exhaust portion after the downpipe but before the axleback?

 

from the angle and this pic it looks like an axle back welded to stock mid pipe section. Also i dont see where the DP bolts to the cat back because of the stock resonator so you def have stock midpipe. try getting a pic from the passenger side looking towards the muffler/rear diff.

 

Def. a axle back u can see the stock resonator, plus u can see a difference in the size. Before the flange it looks like 2-1/2 and on the muffler side it's 3" .
