You generally call the shop and ask them for prices. Sometimes it depends on what you need done and how much time it's going to take to accomplish the job.

Overboost is a mechanical issue, not a tuning one. Your problem is that the OL/CL transition delay needs to be set to zero. The overboosting is a separate issue and requires wastegate modification.

Also, get your money back ASAP for that Clark Turner tune. He's a quack. He's a very dangerous tuner and blows more motors than anyone I know of. He has a reputation among tuner circles of flying into a city, tuning +20 cars at a time and then scooting before problems start. He's essentially banned from Dallas after he blew 5 motors over 2 tuning weekends. Mine was actually one of them. I didn't even get thru a full tank of gas before the motor went.

Figure a pro tune is 500 bucks. your clark tune is what 2 or 300? even if its 150. is that savings really worth the lack of peace of mind that the tune is exactly what your car needs? If Clark had a rep like ED, FW, LIC and others or better i could see taking the chance but really who the heck is Clark? (catch what i am saying)

This is your n00bness coming through. Clark is a big name tuner who has been around for far longer than some of the shops you mentioned and is more widely known than all of them. Though, he was a bigger name years back before the quality of work was well established as being awful.

I put "(catch what i am saying)" because while Clark may have been around for years and longer than other shops his rep is not good and far from positive. When I went looking for tuners 2 years ago, the name Clark didn't pop up first second or third and When his name did it was not full of Clarks the man go see clark. it was more beware, watch out, he has bad customer service, he blames known working motors that work fine before his tune and after his tune is removed, he blows motors with his tune and i did find the occasional my car still runs good.
So forgive my NOOB comment, but again, Who is Clark? From what i have read, A not reliable tuner who is more known for bad than good because of his Tunes. (that's from my noob research. while looking to save a buck and learning that its better to spend more for reliability and peace of mind).
I have heard a couple of not good stories of our local tuners but nothing at all like what i have read about Clark.

Clark also doesn't give refunds so perfect. Idk what I'll do yet... I really don't wanna blow a motor, obviously. But I've heard some stories of his tune working very well. But I don't wanna roll the dice. Paul at fw tuning... Might be the way to go.

Ya, I never got a refunded for the tune that I got less than 200 miles out of that cost me $22,000 in the long run (3 motors because 1st two were built wrong and the builders refused to warranty their shoddy work). In fact, the only thing he had to say on the issues was "Welcome to the Subaru tuning experience". *******.

Lol can't afford that at all...

No idea what to do here.
Is a wastegate goin to fix anything? A protune would fix the problem wouldn't it?

Porting the wastegate helps with boost creep. Running an EWG completely gets rid of it.
