So I own an '04 Cavalier at the moment. She's my first ride, over 162k miles right now.
I'm looking at the Impreza hatchback, I know that will be my next car. The only thing that I'm "concerned" about is the CVT on the '12. Not sure if the 2010-2011 has it.

Anything of note I should know about the CVT?

CVT continuously variable transmission

Most around here have MT. There are a few that have the AT.

I have not heard anything bad about it.

Welcome to the club. Be sure to check in at your regional chapter of i-club:

Tri-State - i-Club

As sigma pi said most of us have manual transmissions so I am not sure how much auto knowledge you will find on here. Try using the Search feature and see if anyone has asked about it before: There is a pull down search up at the top or you can go here:

Welcome.

Ive read that the any CVT on the market has issues with delay between shifting from any gear to Drive or reverse. However, its normal.
