Hey all, I'm a 22y/o living in Tempe, Az. I'm in the market for a WRX or a 2.5rs (my first Subaru), and have come here to enlighten myself before making a purchase!

Things I'm going to be looking around for are:
What to expect mechanically (typical failures, cost of repair, etc)
What to expect for my money (mileage, upgrades, etc)
What things to look at specifically when checking Subies out

If you all have any insight and/or can point me towards threads that are useful, it would be great!

I bought my first a year ago.. went with 2.5rs because of insurence and I have an awd civic... if you want to make some power at least go with wrx. But hey, I'm loving 87 octane

 

Yeah, I'm leaning towards the WRX at this point. I already pay for 91 with my current car, and I'll probably get better mileage in a WRX. Insurance is what's going to hurt me most for sure though. The problem I'm having is so far is owners in the Phoenix area getting back to me!
