ugh, after endless doctors appointments and new meds to get my epilepsy under control the doctors have pulled my license for 6 months until we know that the new meds are working. This is so frustrating but better than endangering myself, my family, and other drivers on the road. On the bright side I'll have the only 2011 with under 6K miles when I start driving again, lol, and I have some time to plan out the new set of wheels. Looks like I won't be attending a meet any time soon.

 

News on the car: while I had my license back for a few weeks (I have since lost it again due to the epilepsy until February) I was noticing a bad burning smell coming from my engine bay. I traced it to the Cobb intake I was running but never found the cause. After switching back to the stock intake the smell went away and came back after I reinstalled the intake. I was on the correct ots Cobb maps, the intake was installed correct, I have no idea what it was. I returned the intake, Cobb was great working with me every step of the way. I've talked to several other people with that intake that have had no probems, I wish I knew what caused the smell.....I plan on trying the AEM CAI in the spring when I'm able to drive again.

 

Working on some "small details" since I still can't drive. Just received my Perrin 3" Shorty Antenna and my Rally Armor mud flaps w/ blue logos. Will be installing these within the next few weeks with the help of a buddy and when we pull the wheels off to do the flaps I'm going to paint my calipers black with G2 caliper paint, I have the Subaru logos for the calipers too. Follow the G2 up with a high heat resistant clear coat and hopefully they will stay looking nice for a while. Will post pix when it's done.

 

Ordered an SPT front strut tower brace today form Subaru Genuine Parts, should be here next week.

 

You should start a build/project thread

 

that would be more appropriate....when i get the flaps on and get some new/good pix i think i will do that! although i beter be ready to take a good amount of smack for starting a build thread for my bolt-ons, lol

Edit: OK, def going to start a build thread soon, ordered more parts today, lol. I'm sick. Zero/Sports blue alternator cover and radiator shroud....this will be IT for a while though. Will open a build thread when I get all this junk on.
