New guy needs help
What's up signed up here last year and just got some pics posted. From Nor Cal. Was wondering if anyone else has had an experience with a turbo inlet boot replacement? What did you get and how long did it take? any suggestions?
yeaaaah replacing the turbo inlet is a pain in the ***..... your gonna have to take off the entire intake manifold to get to it,anyways.... i got a APS inlet. the reason i got this one over the perrin one is because the APS one is steel, the perrin one is silicone. ive head stories of the perrin inlet collapsing while under boost. well i wouldnt suggest doing this unless your doing a turbo upgrade or the stock one is damaged.
damn man thanx for responding, well i took off the intercooler and finally found it but there are two rips or holes almost like it imploded on itself so its a must can't hold more than 8 psi lol really sucks but they offer one that is an east install and you dont have to remove the i/m but ya i don't know the specs on them.
K so does anybody know exactly how this prob effects your engine is it all vacume or what just trying to pinpoint the prob if there is more than one. and no codes being thrown.
i did turbo inlet
i did not take off the intake manifold
it would have been waaaaaaaay easier but i didnt have the gaskets
can you take a pic of the part we are talking aobut? or find a pic of it?

Not at the moment but its what your talking about from after the air filter to turbo intake, i guess it's easier with the flexible one but with the solid it requires the removal of the manifold. But i don't plan on pushing to much psi so i shouldnt have a prob with collapsing right? IHI vf34 ball bearing, do you know how else this prob could effect your cars performance? like oil pressure stability.
