BOXER RUMBLE SON!
THAT'S WHAT!
get some!!!
HAHA, just kidding bro. Honestly, if you have the chance, start off with an STI, but if you don't, WRX is just as good. Part of owning a subaru, and for that matter, any car, is spending money on it and modding it.
Please, just don't act like some stupid ricer kid and try to race everyone you see or peel out....*sigh*
Good luck!

Okay, I'll just bite the bullet. But before you even consider getting a WRX or STi look up the history and facts about them before posting all these simple questions that can be found in many reviews or a simple search. I don't mean to be a dick but this does it all: http://tinyurl.com/yln37y3

I honestly don't believe either car is the right car for you unless you have a good amount of cash, then get as you please and have a team there to tend to your car. I don't mind helping new memeber's in need, but when they post up a lot of **** that's easy to do research on, or don't even know what basic stuff is on the car and the basic specs on it. That's just annoying to me, having someone come in and ask a whole bunch of stupid questions that have been covered, if not in here some other article or forum.
Spend the next month reading on here and all the stickies on nasioc. Really. Learn everything you can and then learn more. Helping is one thing but to not even know it has a turbo? And do you know how much maintenance will run you? I got my 05 STi two years ago and have dropped almost 2 grand into just maintenance and that was doing all the work myself from oil changes to timing belt to a new radiator. And Subaru's are not easy to work on really if you don't have a good amount of car knowledge. The way your talking and how you aren't doing any research for yourself I doubt you'll do work yourself, but have to pay a shop 70 bucks an hour to do it. That will easily double maintenance cost. Plus make sure you find a reputable shop and know what needs to be used in terms of fluids and stuff as Subarus are very picky being high performance cars. Plus if they screw up you'll end up paying more to get it done right or worst case having a trashed car. I'm glad I have had tons of help from friends who know what they are doing. Maybe start with an old outback sport or at least a 2.5i if you want something newer. I was one of those punk kids who wrecked a WRX being stupid cuz I was young. All the questions you are asking could be answered in 30 minutes searching in the forums.
