n00b Exhaust ? CA:smog
Hi everyone, I just bought an 03 WRX and had a few question about the exhaust system.
The WRX I bought came w/ an STi exhaust on it and was wondering what downpipe would mate/fit with it.
Another question is that if I should get an uppipe and a catted downpipe; will I still be able to smog my car in CA?

I know it's only my second post (noob too!) but from my research, almost any downpipe made for the wrx should fit. A lot comes down to preference like getting the bellmouth or the divorced fittment.
As for the smog, it depends where you get it smogged at. The up pipe and downpipe have a co2 sensor so if you get pipes that have the sensors, then you should be fine (most can't tell if the up pipe has the sensor or not). Just keep your stock exhaust and put it back on every 2 years when you have to have it smogged! :RockOn - not mine:
