Maybe a 2.5RS owner soon

Hey guys just started looking at the forum because I am going to be looking at buying a 2000 2.5RS. It has a lot of miles and needs head gaskets so I am hoping to get a good deal on it. I'll slap some head gaskets on it and have a suby I've always wanted! I've been looking around on the forum and it doesn't look like there are many people with pre-02 subies. Anyone know a good place to find 2.5RS parts? I mainly want to put some springs/coilovers and upgraded brakes on it to start. I'll post pics when and if I pick the car up. Any other suby forums I should take a look at?

Thanks guys. Actually went to look at the car. It's got 170k on it and it needs front brakes and a head gasket. Otherwise the car is clean, I was suprised for having 170k on it. I could probably pick it up for $3k but I don't really have the cash right now. I offered him $2500 which is more than I can afford considering that I already have 4 cars and I would like to make this my daily driver after fixing it and selling my 99 saturn. He said someone already offered him 3k and that he would call that guy to see if the offer still stood. Anyways it's a SOHC 2.5 if that makes any difference. What do you guys think?

I've got a 2000 2.5RS. I used to be big into the forum here and now it comes in waves

They're great cars. Mine has 82k on it and still pulling strong (and looks good too).

I found all the support I needed here for all my issues. rs25.com was so-so when I needed help - so I stuck to this site.

Good luck getting it!

P.S. In case you were wondering, I was a member way back before the website upgrade and I lost my user name - that's why I only have 95 posts

I love my 2000 RS. $3k is a good deal even if it has that many miles. It would make a great project for a swap. Good luck and welcome to the forums.

Here's a picture of my RS for inspiration.
