Manji Drift + Suby = messed up front bumper
Manji Drift + Suby = messed up front bumper
So the other day i was trying to drift in my 08 wrx by turning off the traction control. My friend was manji drifting and doing donuts in his corolla so i decided to try it too. I did a couple of donuts fine. But when i tried to manji it didnt work out that good lol. i turned left, right and when i tried to turn left it wouldn't work. i went up the curb and hit some rocks and scratched up my front bumper. It doesnt look that bad, but i just wanted to post it up.

Like sigma says, RWD is the platform of choice for drifting, but you can drift an AWD Subie as well. It helps to have a lot of power though for AWD, whereas RWD requires far less power.
Maybe OP should sue Ken Block for false advertising?

yeah your car will not do that out of the box
Actually I used to drift my '98 Legacy GT wagon all the time, crappy tires and a heavy back end made it really easy. Enter the turn, flick sharp to the inside, lift off the throttle, as soon as the back gets light throw the wheel to the outside. Nice clean drift every time, typically at just 20-30 MPH.
