hi everyone. im a newbie to both this forum and subarus. i dont even have one
but i really want one and im hoping to get one soon. saving money right now! my friends said i should ask how only four little bolts can hold up the upper arm of a suspension? and answer with When you apply a compressive force to the strut it flexes the unibody, the compression force becomes a lateral force. The flexing also reduces effective spring rates to some extent. It is not so much the upper strut mount moving the unibody in a lateral direction, the unibody itself is deflecting the upper strut mount laterally due to compression forces. ( it's suppose to make me cool).... did it work?

that's why you see a lot of cars [not just subies] with strut braces across the engine bay and trunk. they reduce flex and look pretty spiff. hot rods with a Mustang II suspension [everything connected to crossmember and no shock towers] have no need for such things.
hmmm i have no idea but i want a subaru imprezza wagon with bug eyes! so sorry im not interested in an 02 wrx. and let me say now i have basically almost zero knowledge about cars so i dont know what strut bars and uhh whatever i posted at first.
