Buying a car with Subie Bucks

Questions for ye..

Can you buy a car with subaru bucks?

Is their a max amount of bucks you can use on a purchase in the dealership?

I believe you can use them as a down payment. It might depend on the dealership, but I thought you could.

If I remember the terms correctly, you can earn a maximum of $500 Subaru bucks per year, and the Subaru bucks are good for 5 years. Which means the maximum you can have at any one time is $2500. That'll definitely help with a down payment, but it'll hardly be enough to buy a car with.

The max you can get is $500 yourself but lets say I bought a couple of thousand dollars worth of bucks from people and used that then to buy the car?

Subaru bucks are technically non-transferable, and I doubt a dealership is going to bend the rules for a large purchase like that.

Yeah but some dealerships take bucks with other names on them.. just wondering if they would accept a large amount of them - Doubtful but was curious

I think it was five years back when the card was through MBNA instead of Chase.
