Bugeye project is finally running!

Since my car is finally on the road again I thought I would introduce myself and share a picture of my car. I bought a 2002 wrx about two years ago from a friend. It needed a new engine but was totally stock and well cared for. I knew nothing about Subarus but always liked them. I started browsing forums and learning as much as I could about the cars. I borrowed a cherry picker and pulled the motor without too much trouble. I thought I could find an engine and get it running no problem. But I soon realized how hard it is to find a good used engine, especially when I was spending all my money on other parts. It sat in my driveway for a while and then a few months ago I found an engine at a shop, I towed the car there and had the engine swapped in and now it's finally running!

I've met several people already from buying parts and been to a few of the BAMs. I can't wait to meet more of you guys and take my car to its first BAM. Also hoping to meet up with some fellow i-clubbers in Oakland.

Congrats--Been there before in terms of finding budget for getting your passion project running.

Getting it running, and then running well as I'm sure you found out are two different things. Glad it's sorted for you and may it be the first step of a great adventure!

I always welcome new members to team bug-eye. So "howdy".
Since your still kind a new to the Subaru scene, At any point have you been hooked up with the 2002/03 maintenance manuals? Impreza Manuals | ken-gilbert.com
They come in handy at pretty much every project. Knowing where the plastic clips are in your interior saves lots of headaches.
