Looking for a shop in VA to do an STI swap in a 98 RS. Any reputable ones in the area? Thanx.

ive done some orderin from them, and over the phone they seem real knowledgeable. good luck, you should do well with them. although they work on all cars, seems suby/dsm is their specialty.

Just got done yesterday.

They certainly know their cars. Installation of the exhaust was a little hairy, as the flange from the TurboXS stealthback didn't mate perfectly to the Prodrive exhaust, but they got it squared away.

Their tuner, Mike, is awesome.

My car Dyno'd around 169 stock. At one point Mike had it up to 230, but I asked him to dial it back down as this is my daily driver. I'm at 205-210 to the wheels now on 93 octane - and that's just TBE and a UTEC.

FWIW, if I had to do it again I'd buy the parts from Mach V (very knowledgeable, won't sell you crap that won't do anything for you), get the exhaust install done locally and then get the tuning done there.

One thing - if you get work done there, bring entertainment because there is NOTHING to do anywhere near their shop

BTW, that "quiet" prodrive exhaust is still pretty loud. And you can actually hear the exhaust gasses rushing through (not just the roar from the axleback) at high RPMs. The only bit that annoys me a little is a pronounced chirping sound. I think it's the turbo spooling, but I never heard it before.

hmm...not familiary with that, is it kind of a whistling noise? cause enhanced exhaust really brings out that turbo spool. i dont know what else you are hearin. that could sound like a chirp, but its more like a whistle. im runnin on 91 oct here, its the best we can get, but i have the Cobb AP runnin Stage II with just the DP and turboxs axleback. god its pretty and freakin quick! cant wait for the nur-spec.
