We had a pretty kick *** ride today. We did a little sight seeing in the Malakoff Diggins museum area (checked out the cemetery), talked with some cool people, etc. We ran in to a woman who was hiking to her gold mining claim. She was awesome, told us all about what they do and how long they stay out there, then gave us four beers

All the pics.

I looked at the calendar for this week - yeah Wednesday is my wedding anniversary. I'm, uh, busy. Let me find out my wife's work schedule - I might be able to do Thursday after work.

I'm glad you guys had a good ride at Yuba. I rode the Fatrac ride with Bert at Hope Valley. 3,000+ feet of climbing. The altitude (8,000) on the climbs was tough. I felt like I never had any power. My legs were not tired that night because I could never put out enough power to wear them out.
You guys should have been with today when I rode the Connector. As I was going down the hill, I suddenly see the woman ahead of me with her pants down. Nice buns!
She heard me coming and pulled them up with a squeal. As I rode past her I said "Thank you!" I think she thought that I was thanking her for stepping out of the trail for me. That wasn't it, it was the view.

Randy was she peeing or what? My phone cut out when we were talking about it earlier.
So this weekend Joe and Randy and I are going to ride the FATRAC Try The Divide ride. But we're going to start at Connector at 720, ride up to the upper lot on the divide loop, then ride the loop with the FATRAC guys and go home on connector.
Would anyone like to join us?

I don't know. All I saw were her buns.
I did this last month. While it was about 26 miles, but the pace wasn't hard and because of that I wasn't to tired at the end. I enjoyed it enough that I want to do it again.

Yowzers, so the ride basically equates to the FHDL twice plus connector out and back...brutal. I have the road ride in Auburn that Kevin signed me up for so I can't make it. Have fun!

It's not that bad. To meet the ride, you ride up and back on the north side of the FHDL. This is shorter and easier than going the other direction to the upper lot.

It's going to be cool on the ride tomorrow. It was 49 degrees here this morning. It will probably be low fifties when we start.
Since it's cool, we could cut out a couple of miles by starting at the parking place that is on the right just after you turn onto Clementine. What do you think?

Ok, we will start at 7:30. We need to start right away though or we might get there to late unless we push hard and I don't want to start hard.
So... 7:30 at the first parking lot on Clementine. See you there.
