You guys interested in doing Tam or Annadel or something in a couple of weeks? Joe is thinking of buying a Titus Racer X and found a shop that will let him rent one for the weekend. We were thinking of rolling out there to pick up the bike then hitting Annadel on the way home.
No date yet - we gotta see if he gets the all clear next week from his doctor, but if he does it will be before 9/1.

Dang, that Racer X is one F-A-S-T bike. Do you know if he's planning on racing? Before buying the Turner I was looking at Racer-X but then didn't get it b/c I was looking for something a little bit more all around. If he's considering Titus, he should also look at the Turners. Plus, the frames are on sale for 20+ percent off. Since I already have the Flux, he can compare the two first hand when he demos the R-X. Here is a pro review from MTBR that compares the two:

I'll tell him but he's had a hard-on for the Racer X for some time. He is telling me he wants us to ride and train all winter so we can race Lemurian and Sea Otter next year. And he's trying to find a team so he can get his *** kicked by me in Eppies

I decided to do a pre ride of Olmstead today in preparation for our Saturday ride. I saw lots of wild life. First there were the large flock of turkeys. Then the coyote and later the buck with a large rack. But my favorite were the two babes putting up course markers for the 12 hour foot race starting Saturday at 7:30 PM. I know about this because I had to stop and talk to them to find out what the markers were for.
I thought they would be gone by the time I finished lap two but they were in the parking lot finishing putting up signs when I got back. I got an extra treat when one of them decided to change to a clean shirt right next to my van.
I tried not to stare. Really.
Oh, and the course was good.

I'm going to have an early lunch, then cut out of here for the last time. I've got ot hit Raley's to stock up for tonight's poker game, and then it's off to GB for some MTB fun!

No I fail
I'm technically working too - plugged in to his intarwebz and logged in to the VPN
Not a bad way to get out of the office without burning PTO.
