Has a definite date been selected? If not, maybe the OP can post a poll on the top of the thread to let people indicate what date they're available. I'm available weekends, work all day during the week.
Doesn't seem like there would be much snow up there yet. My Jeep group cancelled snow wheeling up around Ice House Reservoir this past weekend due to no snow - it's just been too warm.

+1 on the date but as we all agreed, since there is no snow its hard to set the date. Last year it was on 1/2 with plathora of snow up there. Hope this year does not disappoint. I am going back to SoCal on the 2nd since I work on the 3rd. Lets play it by ear for a bit longer here so we can act acordingly once the snow comes in. I hope ppl will have a day to spare to get away from the fam within the days between Xmas and NYE. And that time would also alow snow to finally come in since its good 2.5 weeks away.

Most of us have Sundays off, but this year Xmas and new Year is on Sun and I don't think people would go for a cruise on that day.
What do you guys think about Saturday, Dec 31? I know that it's a New year's Eve but if we leave around noon, we should be back by 6pm.

I still dont know what lady and i have in plans but should be free during the day. She might be working till 6pm or so. So I am in favor of going earlier than later nonetheless.

seriously, what's going on this year??? It should've been 10ft of snow in Sierra by now...
do you guys remember last year's cruise, it was soo much snow....I think the longer we wait, the better. Robert has to go back to So Cal on 2nd, what if we make that cruise happen on Sunday, 1st day of 2012???

Haha word snow can cure bullet wounds. Uhmm Id be down but u know how ish happens on new years so u never know. True that we cant set the date sincethere is no snow yet. Ya last year was nuts. Snow galore. Hope a storm comes in and makes Sierra white like Uma Thurman's nose in Pulp Fiction
