i went to the DMV on friday to transfer my title and registration to my name. i left there with $1800 less in my bank account due to sales tax (oops, kinda forgot about that when paying off my lease)
Congrats and yikes! What was that $1800 fee going towards, if you don't mind me asking?

We saw a lot of Nick's *** all weekend!(need tighter jeans)
This is not exactly what springs to mind when I think of camping at Donner. Please tell me there were other activities besides *** sightings.

Is there boating or canoeing available (for rental)?

Lets see... drinking. campfires. boating (a guy in Truckee brought his boat out, and another guy from Reno almost brought his boat out, but he got sick and couldn't make it). drinking. cooking. eating.

Wave runnders were available for rent at $80/hour. After that, we didn't ask the prices of other watercraft.

You wrote "drinking" twice. Drinking, eating, napping - it all sounds like a grand time to me.

sales tax. when you lease a vehicle, you pay a monthly use tax based on your monthly payment. when you purchase it at the end of the lease (or earlier), you pay sales tax on the purchase ammount. note to self... don't ever lease again.

It didn't cost you any more sales tax than buying the car outright would have. It's just itemized on your lease. A balance on a normal purchase would just have all the tax you paid up front included in your principle. Leasing saves you money overall, unless you get suckered into paying MSRP or have a high Money Factor.

Does Nate still work on DSMs? There's a thread in BAIC asking for shop work.
