Would you rather I leave the valve covers and intake the stock baby blue? Its hideous I tell you!!!!

The engine is staying nice and alumi-color. The extra parts, black. But I'm going to shoot for a traditional blue/yellow scoob paint job down the line...

heheh..well, in his defense, when I got up at about 11, he was already up and doing dishes. Then, after loading all the dishes in the dishwasher (I'm pretty sure he also unloaded the clean ones) we changed out all three litter boxes. Then he had to devote some time to Nitro since he's been codependent lately

He was being a good boy.

Mr sonicsuby, I managed to figure out almost all of the issues. I had to download new drivers for the video card and that took care of the screen resolution/color issues. Still don't have the floppy working and it only recognizes 256mb system RAM out of 768mb installed. I'm going to open 'er back up right now.

Don't forget, peoples - WRC coverage of Rally Finland will begin at 6:00pm with Rally Magazine, followed by the rally itself at 6:30pm.

I'll be over at my brother's house, eating BBQ, drinking wine coolers and beer, and napping.

Sorted out the RAM problems - one bad 256mb RAM stick. Oh, well, I still have 640mb that passed a CPU torture test run for a short 1.5 hours. I'm gonna try swapping out the ribbon cable to see if that helps with my floppy drive. The one in my computer.

Here's my wallpaper. I know, I know - who cares, right? Well, I thought it was a nice example of what can be done using a freeware ray tracing program. Scene creation is by Jaime Vives Piqueres. If you know what to look for, you'll see that it isn't a photo or photochop but rather a rendering that takes hours or days to come up with the final image because your computer calculates the realistic ways that light sources will light up objects in a room (or anywhere else).

The scene creation is a long process because POV-Ray is a scripted language and has no modeling program. Third party modeling programs such as Rhino or Moray can be used for some objects, which can then be exported for their inclusion in a POV-Ray scene file. Jaime's web page also includes links to some works-in-progress which shows the versatility of a ray-traced image. Once the scene is written, different perspectives of the same scene is as simple as 'moving' the camera coordinates just as one would move a camera around a room in the real world.

I've got all of my relatives over today for a BBQ and pool party. Looks like I'll have to kick them all out at 6:30!
