i've got a STi hood scoop coming in Fed Ex today. how do i install it?
If you haven't already installed the scoop, I'll give you a hand if you come to the Meet. If you can bring the tools that'd be great. It'll only take a few minutes so we can knock it out after we all eat (when it'll be cooler out).

I think the motor install will actually be easier than that. More physical labor, but less thinking and less chance of error
My brother recently bought a used Forester. He hopes to put in a turbo EJ25 in the near future to replace the n/a 2.5 that currently resides in the engine bay. He asked me how tough it would be. My reply to him:

"I've never done it before, and have never seen it done. Call I-Speed because they can do the job from start to finish, including the wiring and ECU and tuning."

well, fedex's tracking thingy on their website lied to me. it should've been here. it doesn't sound that hard to do, and i found the pages in the service manual. so the stock splitter works with the bigger scoop pretty good?

also, does anyone coming to saturdays meet have the ram air scoop for the stock intake? i can't find mine and i've got one on order that's prolly 2 weeks out. currently, my silencer is sucking hot air from the engine bay, and i'm sure that's not so great.

Just talked with the lead of the group I'm moving in to. Unless something big changes (and by big, I mean they split all the admins in to day and night shifts, something they've never done and would not need to do), it looks like I'm going back to days.

I'm pretty excited. I've been sort of unhappy working these night shifts - it kinda sucks. I'll also probably be working M-F again, and maybe 2 Saturdays a month, so I'll be able to hit mroe meets, and on the nights I do work I should be able to stay till about 8:30 or so . Hopefully nothing big changes between now and my first day in the new group on 8/20 so I can get off nights

yippeeeee!!!

Yeah, I wouldn't either, otherwise I'd have had a Miata last February. I still need to find a local Impreza wagon beater...
