I had the exact same surgery 2 hours after another dude. We rehabbed at the same spot. I was walking in with no crutches and doing super hard work outs with lunges and side hops and things like that while this dude was coming in on crutches and limping around still trying to do flexibility stretches. Everyone is different. I had a goal... and so do you. I figure you got 6 weeks man. Then it's snow time!

If it's just a repair you'll be out and about in no time. If they start messing with the ligaments then you're down longer. Just listen to what they say and listen to your body. YOu'll know how hard to push.

Kinda considering on waiting until snow season is over!
Yeah but if it's just meniscus I'd get it done now.. I had my surgery on oct 5 last year and didn't get to ride until feb and still had to take it easy, if it's just a meniscus and you listen to your doctor I'd do it now so you can be 100% for most of winter

If it's just a meniscus repair it could seriously just be a couple weeks and you're good to go and 100% by christmas. So you'll have the whole season of riding and felling good. If you wait you'll be in pain all winter and risk doing more damage... and when it comes to meniscus you want to stop that tear as soon as possible. Otherwise you'll end up with nothing and an early introduction to arthritis.
if it's a major structure repair... I'd wait. LOL!
I got my knee surgery at the very end of one season and missed the first half of the next season. Was a PITA to recover from. Spent 2 months with my leg not moving at all. I'd probably opt for a different style of surgery next time.
So yeah... get rolling on it asap if it's just a clean up deal.

So did they say it's just a repair or are they worried about a ligament issue? I put mine off for like 10 years. When it went pop... it went pop. I wish I would have just fixed it the first time.
If it's just repairing a small tear in the meniscus you got nothing to worry about man. If that stuff tears and becomes a flap you could be looking at some major issues.

Ha my meniscus was torn straight threw and folded in half so my femur and fibula or tibia (one of the 2) got wedged together it sucked! But fully recovered now! You should definitely get it fixed ASAP before things get worse
