My "kit" lens is the standard 18-55mm which isnt bad but lacks a lot of range.
So I bought a few others.

Recently aquired:
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6
and the newest and the one Im most excited about
Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5

I'm a shallow shooter. The image below is at 85mm at f/1.4. I like that insanely shallow DOF. That 50 is a great lens.

The wide angle should be fun too.

Update : She's out of the hospital and at home but still not feeling well. But it beats a hospital bed, right??

Definitely does it feels foreign.... I remember I had a hard time sleeping there.

No kidding. I think it was 5 nights she was in there, maybe 6. I am just glad she's better and I don't have to go to that place anymore!

Yeah I was like.. uhhhh morphine pls..... Still couldn't sleep for another 2 hours. At least the hospital I was at was just built so they had good food. If that was bad.... I wouldn't have slept at all.

Yeah I don't do well in hospitals. I basically have to be dying to go in to one in the first place. Last time was not pretty and didn't smell too good either.

Yeah. You gotta be careful with back injuries man. They don't just get better. I hope she heals up and is back to normal soon.

I only had knee surgery and that sucked bad I can only imagine how a back surgery would feel
