you will never see those kind of power increases out of an intake alone. Uppipe+turbo back exhaust+engine management, yes.

no of course not alone, i would never expect that much out of just intake. i didnt think intake did anything at all on our cars but Tom, OneManArmy, and i myself were talking last week about a few manufacturers that actually put out good systems. i just forgot which ones they were.

On an already tuned 2.0L WRX, w/ stock turbo you will not notice much other then the noise is what I was told by my tuner(Ed @ EQ Tuning).

if you want to get the quickest spool up possible on a USDM 2.0L WRX, keep your TD-04 turbo, get a Hallman RX MBC, uppipe+TBE(catless), Perrin IC hoses, and a protune from Ed. I swear Ed is a magician with tuning.

a friend of mine with a stock 05 STi and I did a 3rd gear pull on hwy 1 and he pulled lightly on me, ended up only a few feet behind his rear bumper.

I was perviously tuned for the 3 port solenoid and with the stock 3rd cat. After getting rid of the 3rd cat, and getting the MBC, it is like a new car again with how hard it pulls.

The noise is pretty damn cool lol. I swear it gives you at least 65 more whp just by letting other people hear your turbo spool up. I think my mileage is suffering though cause I like the "whoosh" sound too much...SPT makes a pretty slick intake, but it sucks that it doesn't come with a heat shield like the K & N (209 for the SPT and 90 bucks for the shield...)

well, if you're running the stock engine management, that doesn't help either. 8:1 AFR is uhmm.. rich?
