Pismo Beach Meet
Ok so this has been in my head since the first time i took my 02 WRX to Pismo. So what im trying to do is plan a big subaru meet that means Outbacks ,Legacys, Imprezas, Foresters, Crosstreks, Tribecas, Brats, Loyales, SVX, lifted lowered slammed stock height anything with the Six Star badge oh and BRZ's if they want to enter at their own risk haha. But yea Im just trying to see if its possible to gather a big group that is willing to make this meet possible and make it a huge meet were it can be a once a year meet due to a long drive and money wise. Date can be on the summer months of June July or August but not on holidays because it gets to hectic. Entrance fee if I'm correct is $10 or $5 for a day. Distance is a 2-4 hr drive if you live in the bay area, San Jose, Dublin, Monterey areas and same for the Oxnard, Santa Barbara area. Also I would need to get info from the state park rangers to see if this meet can be done with a large group of cars.
As you can see im not good at planing meets but if you have any advise, feelings, goods and bads about this meet feel free to share. Like they Im just testing waters. Or even if your down to help make this meet possible that would be a great thing.

I've organized a few "Norcal meets Socal" bbs's in pismo before for clubSI as well as the acurazine car club groups years ago.
In 2008 I organized the meet at Oceano Park which is right next to Pismo Oceano park, CA - Google Maps
There are quite a few large tables, a huge BBQ pit. permit was only $90. it only took a day for people on the forums to donate $$$ for the cost of the permit. very easily done Day Use Facilities
For food, the best way was to have people post and say what they were bringing so that all things were covered. keep the list public so people know what is coming and what is needed.
There were like 50 or so cars, like 80 people. The park block has 4 sides and everybody just parked on the curb around the whole park. it was really cool. there is also a playing area for the kiddos

honestly, if you are trying to make another yearly meet and draw a huge crowd, the bay area i-club already has their huge BAM meet that takes tons of organization.
