T.E.A.M. Racing (www.team-racing.org) is putting on a weekend event at Reno-Fernley's new four-mile course on Saturday and Sunday, August 26-27. Cost for one day is $190, cost for both days is $350. The event includes a supply of Gatorade and bottled water, snacks, catered lunches, instruction, and at least two hours of track time. Full details are at the website, or go directly to the .pdf registration form at www.onemain.com/~bonster/augustrfr.pdf to sign up. This event will fill quickly once word gets out, so sign up soon! I promise you'll have a blast!
Less than a week later, on Friday, September 1st, we are putting on a day out at Thunderhill, all the same perks, for $225. The form is located at www.onemain.com/~bonster/thunderhill_09_01.pdf If you want to take all three days, we have a package deal for only $500!!! That's less than $170 per day! This makes a savings of $75 ~ money for gas. Not enough these days, but every little bit helps! If you wanna do the package deal, please send in both forms and I'll know to give you the discount.

Yes, we need lots more Subies to keep David in his 'place'
So far we have two of these mysterious (lol) wagons signed up -- both driven by David's. What's up with that anyway? You guys both have white Subies -- did you go shopping together or something? Lol. Seriously -- Subies add class to a track event (especially the blue STIs -- those are my favorites), and I hope to see plenty of you out there. RFR is like a big autocross on top, and a fast course on the bottom. Best of both worlds and you'll get to be one of the first to see it!
I can't wait!!!

[QUOTE= Interesting track... lots of turns![/QUOTE]
***Lol, yeah, it's INSANE how many turns there are! I can't wait to try the 'Uphill Climb' portion! I have never had to hire so many flaggers! We have to rent the track for a couple hours on Friday just so our instructors can get a heads-up (much thanks to the kind folks at RFR). This is going to be probably one of the most exciting events we've ever put on (or even attended). August can't get here fast enough! Hope to see you all out there . . .

I'm interested in going, have any pics of this track? I just need to get tuned and buy another set of brake pads then my car should be set up for hitting the track.

Holy crap that looks like fun! I'm trying to get a boost issue fixed right now then get tuned for my new stuff. After that I'll see if I can set aside some cash for this.

But yes, this track should be a total freaking blast. The bottom is like the former 2.3 miler, with lots of speed, and the top is like a huge autocross (I saw it a couple of times, but it was at parade lap speeds). According to one of the gals that works at the track (a motorcycle rider), cars should easily be able to sink right into the line on the top. Sounds like a real good time. I am so dang excited! WE NEED MORE SIGNUPS though . . . I don't wanna pay for another event, lol. If I have to fork over thousands again, I want my own run group.
