Are you sure they said 45? I find that really hard to believe... Both tire shops I worked at had ft/lb charts and manuals and no make/model was ever that low...45 is way too low that's not tight enough to keep lugnuts on...oem and aftermarket lugs

Not trying to be a dick haha but 65 ft/lb is what most subarus are...

I got lectured by Noah for over tightening my lug nuts. He recommended 45 ft lbs and said he has replaced a lot of wheel bearings due to over torqued lugs and shops using impact guns on lugs. I've been tourqing mine to 45 for 3 years and have never found one loose or lost one....

I think Subaru is around 65, I do 80. I'd rather replace a bearing down the road then be worried about a loose wheel.

That's interesting...physically seems like 45 is way too low...easy to break loose with a simple wrench

Been doin 65 ft/lbs with torque gun and torque sticks on my subie for 4+years and brothers legacy and gfs 2.5i and no bearing issues at all...even then, 65 ft/lb is on the lower side of lugnut torque for all cars...trucks usually 100+, most toyotas/nissan/ford etc are 80 recommended

65 should be in your manual.

I do mine to 85 every time with no problems.

I lost a wheel on my first car a few years back on the freeway (wheel spacer broke off, long story)...not fun ever since then been **** about torquing lugs lol
