I thought the same when I did my coils. You just need a good long ratchet and breaker bar. You may also need the car lifted up higher for more clearance.

There's a damn good reason my friends all call me the gorilla... that and my long arms.

I get off work at 6. I'll let you know if I can get out there.

Yea, you get freakish torque out of your arms.

Some pbblaster and a breaker bar, it'll come off.

Yeah ratchets aren't meant to handle too much torque. Breaker bar and a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter usually works for me

i mean i could do it myself 1 with the right tool and 2 if it was easier to get to...theres really not easy way even with the car at the highest point on the stand its nearly impossible to position yourself under the car to get to those two lateral arm bolts...

installed some coils on my buddys 02 wrx...son of a ***** those bolts were tight! took us like 4 hours lol and normally takes me a little over an hour to install coils on a scoob -_-

Yeah, it's not easy at all. I've done them 3 times now. I hate it. It's all about consistent torque. I'd spray the bolts with PB Blast every night and every morning for a few days before you plan on trying it again. And use a breaker bar. I think mine got stolen in the robbery but if I have it you can borrow it.

Then you just apply consistent torque on it. It'll go. I have a LOT more mass behind it than you do. LOL!

You guys been following the XL Grindhouse case?
http://www.thecalifornian.com/articl...nclick_check=1

Basically the owners are in deep isht. I was in there talking to James like a day or two before they got arrested. Super nice dude. I hope he didn't do what they're saying but it's obvious that one of them did.

Right now the father is running the place but I expect it won't be there all that much longer so if you want to try that 2am burger or enjoy some of their killer beer selection... get in there now.

Sucks. I liked that place a lot. It's one of my brother's best customers. And James always seemed cool as hell and really worked to help the local community. Crazy.

Basically the two owners just put in a not guilty plea. The charges range from assault with intent to injure to attempted murder. Both brothers are on trial with a variety of charges. The older brother Robert has the heaviest of the charges including the use of a weapon (aluminum bat).
