North Nevada Rally is no more
Not that very many people from this forum ever made it up there, but Hoche and I have decided to "retire" from organizing the North Nevada Rally so it will not be happening in 2013.
I do want to extend my thanks to all of you who did venture out to the wilds of Pershing County to help out with the event over the last 5 years, we had fun putting it on, but never could get quite the numbers we needed- both in terms of volunteers and entrants to make it a sustainable proposition.
Hopefully this will free resources and people up to better support the Mendocino Rally, Gorman Ridge Rally and all of the rest of the CRS calendar events.

It's kind of funny- I decided I was going to back off from organizing next year a couple of months ago- and the decision was driven as much by my desire to get a few more free weekends back, as well as not losing money in these efforts.
Yet just in the last week I have had a couple of proposals for me to take charge of events where I would actually be getting paid for doing it, but the need for more free time is really my main motivation so I won't be putting on a rally in Laredo in March, nor the monthly rallies that I used to help put on for the Ferrari Challenge people (which kind of morphed over into these non-mark specific exotic car driving events), instead my plan is get off my butt and to do more skiing and mountain biking.
And hopefully a little more sound work which tends to be a shorter time investment with a little bit better ROI.
But all in all- I am quite happy with the decision and still plan on getting out for a few events as time and budget permit.
