I was the fill-in when the official "official" photographer was unable to make it, so the pressure was on to try to figure out my camera. I think there was another photographer from an area newspaper around as well but I don't know what his plans were.

 

I wish I'd known. I had my Nikon D90 with me and used it when we were running the MTC for stages 5 and 7.

on a side note, remember that couple in the big dark green dodge pickup that wanted to get on the stage while hot? they kept telling me that that they lived there, in the area, blah blah blah...

but guess what? later that nite, i came back to my motel in fernley and i see their truck parked in the parking lot... lived there... yeah right.

 

what... Fernley is local to Gerlach and Empire...what's 70 miles or so to locals?

no, what that old couple told me was they lived in the area of the start/finish. hence their complain about the roads being closed and all... at least that's what i got when i was talking to them.

that's why i found it funny their truck parked in a motel lot...

i was in the dark green toyota 4runner running block 2 on purgatory. i did have a hoot driving out from the finish to the highway though... :evil smiley:

 

Actually I was 000, Pete Cowan was 00 and Lee Sorenson was 0.

Dr and Mrs Tofu (Bryan Wu and Thy Tran) worked a blockage near the end of SS1,3 on Friday and the finish of 1,3 start of 6,8 on Saturday- drove a silver WRX with gold wheels, Not sure where Tucker wound up but he was there all weekend too, all together I think there were 7-8 i-club members involved on the organizing/worker side of things
