North Nevada Rally 2010
The North Nevada Rally is back for 2010. This is a full off-road performance rally held in the desert east of Reno (up near Burning Man's location, for those of you who're familiar with that).
We're going to be having some night stages on Friday June 4th near Lovelock, and a full day of competition near Gerlach on Saturday, June 5th.
We've still got lots of premium volunteer spots open - manning timing controls, road marshals, being a ham operator, etc.
Event info can be found on the website:

Thanks!

Well the dates were chosen last December and have been on the web page since about mid January, BLM and Pyramid Lake Tribal consultation had to take place and had to come out without too many onerous restrictions before we were going to open registration and stuff, and unfortunately that didn't happen until last week, along with us getting final OK from Pershing county.
Is he off on that Downieville bike ride? I mean I understand that's a ton of fun and all, but Downieville is there every weekend, a Rally less than 500 miles from the bay area only happens once a year. (well I take that back, less than 500 miles would include Gorman and High Desert Trails as they are both a little over 300 miles away, so less than 300- that only happens once a year!)
Besides, there will be other fun people here, yeah we'll miss Andy, and Rich and all the other hooligans who can't make it, but it's a rally!

I would love to come out but our track day is on June 1st. I'd have to take that entire week off and my customers wouldn't be too happy

You shouldn't need to take the week Ed, you could shut down for the afternoon Friday and just come up for that evening, or leave the shop to the crew Saturday...

Glad Dr. Tofu will be joining us! If possible, I'd like to work with Dr. and Mrs. Tofu wherever you need us. If not, not a problem.
