I can't do the 3rd due to graduations and baby showers that I have to attend that weekend. I guess I'm the minority that can tentatively do the 10th. If the 3rd is the date post many pics as I'll have to live vicariously through those who make it.

btw, that drive sounds kick ***!!!!!

ryan

edit: no 3rd, tentative 10th

I'm down for the 3rd, but I can't do the 10th.

(edit)
Is anybody planning on printing up the RI's for this? Maybe we can draft Pete S.? :-)

I may need a co-driver for this, depending on Moike's availability.
(edit edit) Never mind, IDP racing's all on board for it!

As I told Rich, I'm down for either day. I'll be bringing my camera to take photos, and I definitely want some of the cars going through the dirt stages ;-)

I've taken the route notes above and put them into a "rally-ish" format. http://www.neilbliss.com/RIs.htm

Is there going to be a pre-check?

yes i do mean "Deiner Dr." thanks for pointing that out. while driving and writing a "in" combo can easily be mistaken for a "m"

Can anyone tell me if my Whiteline G4 coilovers will be destroyed on the off-road portion of the drive.

it depends how fast ya go, now dunnit?

In all seriousness, most folks on this drive will have "street" suspension and the likelyhood of blowing a shock is pretty low if you drive a little sensibly.

Are the shocks adjustable? If so, set em at full soft and you'll likely be fine.

how much lower than stock are they. If they are much lower you may want to wait till later in the summer when the road is a little more level

After using the "course notes" at Rim this past year I am a total believer in them. They allow you to go sooooo much faster than the route book.

(of course, you have to really trust what your codriver is telling you, since you're driving the road that you can't see yet!)
