so, the first event was small but a lot of fun. 
beyond the standard weapons, soft frisbees and dodge ***** were also used. there was also some instruction and training before the actual event began.
the heat wiped me out very quickly, but we moved our 'fighting area' into the shade and things went much better for everyone. every kid that walked by, stared intently at the 'fighting' going on and the parents all slowed down to let their kids watch...
we'll have our next event sometime next month. it will be either a saturday or sunday - unsure as of yet. but, i'll post details here when it is decided.
