if any nerds have not heard of 'boffer wars' - here is a site that i am apart of concerning boffer wars.
boffer wars is basically sword fighting with weapons made from PVC piping, foam and duct tape.
at current, boffer war events do not take place often enough for dorks like myself. we aim to change that.
so, give it a look, and if you know anyone that might enjoy it, please pass it along.

its SIMILAR to LARP, but it doesnt use a hit point system.
i will not be the only person there, and i've been beaten by 12 year old kids.

We will be having our debut gathering and will spend the afternoon and evening on and off the field with a whole slew of new folks.
We will supply some loaner boffers for this event, and encourage folks to bring their own. But please be aware weapons will be checked for safety and there is a chance a weapon may not be passed.
Please bring anything you would need for a park: sunscreen, chairs, cooler with drinks etc. Please make sure items are labeled so there are no confusing moments.
Event offerings: Tentative
-- Release form fill out and contact gathering (Junior, Sandra)
-- Weapon construction workshop (SkeTch)
-- Youth Rules and Practice (Staff)
-- Adult Rules and Practice (Staff)
-- Tournament and Event Open Table Discussion (Staff)
