So a couple of ideas were tossed around at the itty-bitty In-n-Out meet tonite.
The first idea is to alternate meet spots as an attempt to accommodate everybody. So say, the first meet of the month would be in Novato, while the second meet of the month would take place in Petaluma.
The second idea would be to do some sort of activity in lieu of driving for our monthly drives. Perhaps bowling, kart racing, a summer track day, etc. Not saying this will completely replace our drives, but maybe we don't need to drive every single time.
What say my fellow i-crubbers?

I'm on board with mixing it up.
Probably the ideal way to do it would be to mix up the meets as opposed to the drive.
Mostly because who doesn't like to drive with Subarus?
Those are the best days in my opinion, so in any given month:
Assume 4 weekends.
1 weekend we meet up for some eats, chit chat
1 weekend we drive, everyone loves this
1 weekend we go do something like bowling, karting, BBQ at a park, etc.
1 weekend we take off to do other things
As far as changing up the meetup location, I think we should do that for the drive anyway, because then we can check out all kinds of new roads in new places. As for the event activities, that location will change based on where we decide to go (this bowling alley, or that park for a BBQ).
It should actually encourage people to come out more if we move it around so it's not always the same-ol-same-ol. That and sometimes where we're going might be closer to people and encourage newcomers. Perhaps we should start with a couple lists, one of places to go driving, another of places to go hang out/do stuff.

Perhaps a shared calender online would be great, where we can have a visible plan for what we're doing each weekend. This would likely be useful, (I could either throw something up on my website for all to look at, or some other public source that is easy to access)
Hey guys I just started a thread for a Sunday grill and chill get together. It's titled north bay grill and chill, feel free to jump in there with ideas or thoughts if you are interested.

I'm definitely down for alternative meets like bowling and whatnot. I'm new here and have never been to any i-club meets, but I live in SF, gas is expensive, and my 9-2x gets the worst mileage in the world so it would be more gratifying if my drive was to hang out with y'all doing some sort of activity and not just standing around like the meets I went to when I had my Accord... That being said I hope to meet some of y'all soon regardless of what we end up doing.

I was just thinking the other day that we should have a BBQ day where we can go and have some good food and drinks instead of a drive. I love driving the subie but piling the miles on makes me sad. lol
Im also down for alternative meet spots. The online calendar is a good idea. I work on google a lot and that seems to be the easiest one to share and use.
We'll be other there for the meet this weekend for sure

The whole Bbq and throwing the Frisbee or football and jst chilling sounds good. Google calendar sound awesome too as well have an idea of whats happening. Specially since the summer is coming nd there's tons of things to do. Meets/carshows/ect. Cant wait for the summer.
